Style Spotlight: Abbey Lee Kershaw for Moussy
Japanese label Moussy feautures Abbey Lee Kershaw as the face of their Fall/Winter 2011 ad campaign. Abbey is quite the rocker chic sporting leather, studs, denim, fringes, fur and other timeless pieces. Seeing this campaign makes me feel giddy over the upcoming Fall and Winter. The "edgy" look is one of my favorite trends because it's so versatile. You can lighten up an "edgy" look or go all out and everything just falls into place. And may I just add that Abbey looks stunning in these photos. She'll forever be my favorite model.

Ihawan2
As I've mentioned on a previous post, my family and I have made it a tradition to eat at different restaurants every Sunday. This Sunday we ate at Ihawan2 where they offered Filipino and Japanese food. They had amazing traditional Filipino food and sushi, which was a big plus for me considering I'm a big sushi fan. I was surprise at the wide range of sushi they had on the menu. They had chef's special rolls and traditional sushi rolls. I ordered the Vernon Boulevard and it was delicious. The Filipino food was also delicious! If you love fried food, meat, and not necessarily health conscious you'll love their Filipino food (Filipino food is a fusion of food from many different cultures so there will always be recognizable flavors and ingredients). From BBQs to seafood, everything is better than any other Filipino restaurant I've been to. It is definitely a place to check out.
Ihawan Sampler (Lechon Kawali, Calamares, Lumpiang Shanghai)
Fried Boneless Bangus (deep fried marinated whole milkfish)
They are very generous with their appetizers. The Ihawan Sampler can easily be shared by a group of five people. The Lumpiang Shanghai (spring roll filled with usually beef or pork or both) was my favorite, it's full of flavor. And although many of the food is fried none of them are greasy.
Vernon Boulevard (salmon, cucumber with tuna and salmon on top)
Ihawan2 is located in Hunters Point, Long Island City, "the westernmost neighborhood" of Queens in New York City. If you're ever around, be sure to drop by! Right when you walk in Ihawan2, you'll immediately be impressed by the modern atmosphere and the friendly waiters.

Headless Mistress
Wore this outfit to "Family Day Sunday". We went out to eat lunch at a restaurant we've recently discovered, which I'll be blogging about later. Ever since I can remember, we've made it a tradition to eat at different restaurants every Sunday because we've all agreed that we bond over food. Anyhow, I wore this because it was one of those casual Sundays where it was raining; hence why this was taken indoors and why I appear to be headless due to having a bad hair day.

Style Spotlight: Lana of Risky Business
If you haven't heard of the movie Risky Business, it's the movie where Tom Cruise dances around in his underwear to Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger. It's one of my favorite 80s movie, not only because of Tom Cruise, but just for the simple fact that I'm in love with Lana's wardrobe. She always looked effortlessly classy even though she didn't have the classiest job; and apart from that, she pulls off mom jeans and oversize sweaters like it's her job. Overall, it's a funny and stylish movie about the lost of innocence. If you haven't seen this movie, you must!
xx Denise
P.S: Enjoy Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear.
