Baluchi's

I've been such a bad "blogger" lately due to the virus in my computer (which is yet to be fixed) and I haven't been bringing my camera around. Also the weather in New York City is horrid. It's been raining and gloomy, resulting in my laziness to go out or dress up. I'm sorry for the lack of posts. But in spite of everything, this weekend my dad and my little brother went to Texas for a basketball tournament so my mom, my little sister and I took advantage of their trip and spent some quality time together (GIRL'S DAY OUT!). Which brings me to my next point which is... Baluchi's!
Baluchi's is a restaurant specializing in Indian food. Right when you enter Baluchi's, you will immediately be welcomed by the friendliest staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing which is what we needed after a long walk in the city. It was calm, quiet and the lights were dimmed down, but it wasn't dark enough that you couldn't see what you're were eating. The food smelled and tasted amazing and was well presented. The serving size of the food may look small but it was very fulfilling (I couldn't finish what I ordered because I was so full). My mom ordered Lamb Chops (marinated lamb, served with potatoes and peppers), my little sister ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (chicken in tomato and cream sauce) and I ordered Malai Koftas (veggie balls in tomato and cream sauce) from their vegetarian menu. Speaking of Malai Koftas, Baluchi's has a vegetarian menu for vegetarians (I'm not vegetarian, I just wanted to try something new).
Top - Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Chops' sauce
Left - Lamb Chops, Middle and right - Peas Pulao (saffron rice with peas)
Bottom - Malai Koftas

I absolutely love Baluchi's and I hope these pictures did the food justice. If it didn't then you'd have to try it yourself. For more information check out Baluchi's.
